On November 23, 2024, an event was held in Aveiro as part of WP7, with the aim of promoting the concept of the Guardians of the Sea<\/em> and laying the groundwork for the creation of the Guardians of the Lagoon of Aveiro<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The gathering was directed mainly at the local fishing community, offering a space to share stories, knowledge, and concerns about the lagoon. During the session, the Guardians of the Sea<\/em> project was presented. This initiative brings together women fishers and shellfish gatherers from the Sado estuary, who, through their traditional knowledge and deep connection to the marine environment, act as marine educators, awareness-raising agents, and protectors of seagrass meadows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The event also introduced the concept of the Guardians of the Lagoon<\/em>, part of the European LIFE SeagrassRIAwild project, which seeks to engage the local community in preserving and valuing the unique ecosystem of the Ria de Aveiro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n (PT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n No dia 23 de novembro de 2024, realizou-se em Aveiro um evento no \u00e2mbito da WP7, com o objetivo de divulgar o conceito das Guardi\u00e3s do Mar<\/em> e lan\u00e7ar as bases para a futura cria\u00e7\u00e3o das Guardi\u00e3s da Ria de Aveiro<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A tert\u00falia foi especialmente dirigida \u00e0 comunidade piscat\u00f3ria da regi\u00e3o, proporcionando um espa\u00e7o de partilha de hist\u00f3rias, saberes e preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre a ria. Durante a sess\u00e3o, foi apresentado o projeto Guardi\u00e3s do Mar<\/em>, que re\u00fane mulheres pescadoras e mariscadoras do estu\u00e1rio do Sado.
